STORY OF THE ROOF TOP CHURCH

You may have heard about the church on the RoofTop. I will try to tell you the story as brief as possible. Sometime ago I started a meeting for inner-city young men and women, some of them gangsters, drug addicts, alcoholics and street girls. Initially the meeting took place in a barbering shop, the owner being one of the converts.

After a short time the barbering shop could no longer hold the number of inquirers coming to the meetings, Members of the new church then began looking for a place for the meetings. It turned out that the only place in town available for the meetings was the concrete rooftop of a huge building. A place already being used by a night club. Men and women stayed all-night at this roof top night club, drinking beer and dancing.

With permission of the owner of the night club I started the deliverance meeting s on the roof top on Sunday morning only. However the night club collapsed soon after we began our meetings and closed down for good, leaving the place to us to have meeting s seven days a week, any time of the day. The church which has now come to know as the Roof Top church is progressively growing in the spirit and in membership. It has now become the centre of all Healing Waters Ministries activities and churches.
